Late Qing Dynasty, China. 1) Depicts a well dressed woman giving counsel to a group of young girls on a veranda. 2) Scene of a mother holding a young child while conversing with her older son in a garden, while two older women observe them from a window. Both are housed under glass in a hardwood frame with cutout designs. SIZE: Sight size for both works is 14 1/2" x 12". Overall is 18" x 15 1/2". PROVENANCE: From the John Webber Estate of Bangor, Maine. CONDITION: slightly faded, otherwise very good. (05-601/TG). $1,000-1,500.
