Exquisite, large Chinese Ming Dynasty carved bone sculpture of a woman holding a child. Underside of base has old sticker COLLECTION ML VON CALLENBERG (Baroness Marie-Louise von Callenberg 1901-1982 - noted collector of fine art and Chinese objects). Size: 12.25 in tall and 3 in across base (4 in at widest), not including later wood stand. Circa 1600 or earlier. Good condition with old patina and fine surface cracks, remnants of gilding.
