Available here for your consideration is a Texas style grazing bit attributed to J.R. McChesney based on style and design. John Robert McChesney was the first spur maker to widely market handmade Texas style Western gear to the masses. This bit has silver and copper overlay with hand engraved designs. It is clear that this bit was well used, but it has a great patina and would be perfect for your collection or to be put back to use!
MAKER: Unmarked but attributed to J.R. McChesney.
APPROX AGE: Early 1900s.
SIZE: Bit mouth measures 5 inches, and 6 inches long overall.
