A deep red silk ensemble with bamboo and Chinese seal motif as seen worn by Sarah Lam as China Doll’s Maid in Shanghai Surprise (HandMade Films, 1986). The film starred then newlyweds Madonna and Sean Penn.

The ensemble includes a tunic with floral embroidery trim and frog closures and a pleated skirt. No labels present. The interior of the tunic is inscribed "L11B097 13291" and the skirt is inscribed “L11B097 13292.” Together with a wardrobe bag with a tag that reads, “Sarah Lamb China Doll’s Maid.” Costume design by Judy Moorcroft.
