Pennsylvania Dutch painted pine wedding chest or trunk, 19th century, having foliate decoration and a document box, the front dated 1889, having no apparent marks.

Provenance: : From the Private Collection of William R. Collins, JR., Milton, Georgia.

Approximate measurements: h. 26. 5", w. 42. 5", d. 23".

Condition

Pleasing distressed finish, damage to feet, possible overpaint at date, case is structurally sound.
