Antique extra large hand carved marble planter. Two pieces. Top section features hand carved in relief beveled edge followed by banding of grape vines, S scrolls, emotive faces and heads on top of additional banding in relief. Playful putti in high relief follow and decorate all sides. The putti are surrounded by foliage and vines. Base features a fluted column with carved scroll knees and paws. Piece is very intricately carved and detailed. Piece is weighty. Measures approx. 36 inches tall by 20 1/2 in in diameter. Wear consistent with age and use. Crack present. Property from F.W.
