A rare and hard to find vintage Second World War era Everitt survival knife. A cast metal knuckle knife with a steel blade in a double-edged spear-point design, and an early aluminum handle with four loops. Offered "in the white," with original enamel paint long since worn away. Handle stamped EVERITT. The Everitt knives were a product of U.S. wartime production during World War II, produced by an unknown manufacturer, with reports of their use in the Pacific War (Asiatic-Pacific Theater, 1941-1945), hinting at a West Coast maker, and a speculated connection to Everitt, WA. Accompanied by original fitted vintage leather scabbard, similar to the leather sheath produced for the M-6 U.S. Marine Corps survival knife, with 10 metal rivets, six (6) staples at the throat, bottom metal ring for leg tie, and snap lock strap encircling the knuckles and handle. Original owner name ink stamped to scabbard front V.B. LANZA.
