Description
DESCRIPTION: Carved wood curule throne chair featuring an open-work design with a ram's head at the end of each arm, a bat-winged gargoyle at the front of the seat, and winged lions flanking a shield across the top rail. Splat is fashioned into an open-work, arched colonnade bordered below by a pierced floral gallery. Finished with beast form feet, and a cushion embroidered with an image of a boy framed in flowers and banners. Stenciled upholsterer's mark on underside of seat.
