Description

DESCRIPTION: Antique ring display cushion and case comprised of lacquered wood base, dome glass cover, weighted red velvet cushion with interlaced gold-toned embroidery, openwork gilt geometric cushion base, four tassels, gilt tole foliage and fruit motifs, gilt tole birds (two with putto riders) and mirror surrounded by openwork gilt geometric border. Further featuring two heart medallions, one comprised of pewter with inset costume gems, the other featuring gilt thread with gilt foliage motifs and inset costume beads. Writing in ink on underside, possibly indicating the maker.

Further including silver depiction of a heart, possibly the Sacred Heart of Jesus or the Immaculate Heart of Mary, topped by flames and a crown, surrounded by openwork floral and foliage motifs and featuring monogram. Total weight: "
