Description
An antique Persian glazed white bowl with hand-painted blue decor. Qajar period, 1795 to 1895. The Persian underglaze blue on white slip, which imitated the Chinese blue-and-white of the Yuan and Ming dynasties, prospered in the Safavid dynasty (16th century), and in the Qajar dynasty, the imitation subject was expanded to Swatow ware, and it produced more commonly. Arabic signature is on the bottom. Collectible Antique Oriental Islamic Pottery. Overall good antique condition. Signs of age and wear.. Refer to photos. 9.25"x9.25"x2". Weight 1 pds 2 oz.
