Description
1857 1ed Exploration in Honduras Central America Settlements Mining Illustrated
During the 19th-century, very few works were solely dedicated to the history and geography and Honduras. William V. Wells Exploration and Adventures in Honduras was one of the only works that described the Central American country. In the preface of this work, Wells states,
“During nearly a years travel, extending over a thousand miles, mostly on mule-back and visiting in that time thirty-eight Central American towns and settlements, I collected everything that seemed to shed any light upon the history and natural resources of the country”
This work thoroughly describes Honduran people, customs, towns, geography, and much more.
