Extremely rare miniature bronze Ganesh is made of a special alloy that includes precious metals. The quality of the casting is remarkable. I've never seen anything like it. Of courting to the previous owner it is 15th century and is from Indonesia. When you look closely at the macro pictures, You see the remains of the cloth used in the casting process that was later gilded (latest in parts). It has left a design all over the surface of the figure as it has worn away. The subtlety and nuanced feeling in the figure is remarkable. The previous owner believed it to be 15C. He is quite knowledgeable, but I cannot verify this with my own personal knowledge as I have never seen another like it and am not knowledgeable in this area.
