second quarter 19th century, the portico clock decorated with scrolled leaf carving and flowers, with Doric columns supporting the dentillated cornice, the dial set into a leaf-molded gilt-bronze bezel, h. 23-3/4", w. 12-1/4", d. 8", and the pair of garniture urns with carved bodies set with leaf-carved, pierced handles and raised on drum-form bases, h. 20", w. 7-1/4", d. 4-1/4".

Condition
In "as found" condition. There is an old repair to the right rear bottom corner of the clock base. Some filler has been added. Other old, professional repairs to the corners of the top. Some minor fractures throughout. Mild discoloration from age. Wear to the clock dial from use. The suspension spring to hold the pendulum needs to be replaced. There are small losses and old repairs to the carved frieze above the dial. Lacking a winding key.
