ANTIQUE / VINTAGE RED RHINESTONE AND OTHER BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 16, each two-part form with red-colored glass, rhinestone/s, plastic, or decoration, many Art Deco examples, including a large rectangular-form buckle with square-form glass having geometric design, two marbled plastic buckles, a round-form metal buckle with red enameling, a pyramid-form buckle with large red glass cabochons, and a bow-form buckle with red and colorless beads presented on a tulle fabric belt/sash. Four red glass buckles marked for Czechoslovakia, oval buckle with large cabochons marked "Made / in / Germany", round-form buckle with large red glass centers surrounded by tiny beads marked "ARTEX NOV. / CO. INC. NY.", larger plastic buckle with "PAT. PEND." on clasp, remainder unmarked. First half/mid 20th century. Large rectangular-form buckle 6 3/4" x 2" OA.

Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, one or a few spots/areas of oxidation, some bending, one or more rhinestones possibly reglued/reattached, one or a few flakes or nicks to glass with some possibly as made, and/or possibly one or a few repairs; large rectangular-form buckle with one square having a crack and a chip, and another square diagonally adjacent to the other with two chips; Art Deco glass buckle with gilt and silvering having one back bar broken in half; buckle with faux pearls having solder to back, possibly a repair or the pearls were later added; Artex Nov. buckle with losses to tiny beads.
