Description
ANTIQUE / VINTAGE STERLING AND UNMARKED SILVER / SILVER-PLATED HATPINS, LOT OF 13, each having a sterling or other silver/silver-plated top on a non-silver pin; comprising seven marked sterling pieces including one with a hexagonal urn-form top possibly by Nussbaum & Hunold of Providence, RI, one with a hexagonal tapered top having engraved flower decoration, one with top featuring a flower garland accent, one with a shell-form top, and one with top having a colorless rhinestone in bezel setting; and six unmarked silver / silver-toned pieces including a pair with fleur-de-lis tops, and one with an Art Deco top featuring a scalloped tip and floret decoration. Seven tops marked "STERLING", one with hexagonal urn-form top having slightly illegible maker's mark that appears to be "N & H", six unmarked piece of unknown silver fineness/metal content with some or all tops possibly sterling or of lesser silver fineness. Late 19th/first half 20th century. 6" to 7" LOA.

Condition
Most in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including minor to moderate dents, nicks, slight bending, worn spots to engraved/raised decoration, and spots of light corrosion to pins; five unmarked pieces including Art Deco and fleur-de-lis examples having minor to moderate splits at seams of tops.
