STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW / NAUTICAL MOTIF TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring a view of the ship Cadmus (so-called) flying the American flag, which brought La Fayette for his visit to the Americas in 1824, and smaller boat in foreground. Impressed American eagle with shield mark encircled with "E WOOD & SONS BURSLEM WARRANTED / SEMI CHINA" to underside. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 10" D.
