Description
An antique Chinese Late Qing dynasty hand enameled porcelain sculpture. The sculpture represents Guanyin, a Chinese Bodhisattva associated with compassion, with lotus flowers at her feet. She is dressed in flowing robes in orange and red shades. The hair, eyes, eyebrows, and several elements are covered with glaze in a black shade. The sculpture is adorned with hand painted gilded foliage and bird ornaments. Mounted on a figural stand representing a lotus flower with a swirl motif below. Unmarked. Circa: early 20th century.
