A small collection of garnet jewellery, A small collection of garnet jewellery, to include a Victorian silver gilt Bohemian garnet floral cluster brooch, possibly converted from an earlier clasp or necklace, later brooch fittings with 'C' clasp and pin, 35mm in diameter, a late 19th Century multi-strand faceted bead garnet choker necklace, to a textured gilt metal clasp, 390mm long, a pair of silver gilt garnet hexafoil cluster stud earrings, and a silver and garnet floral cluster ring, with rose cut garnets, millegrain and claw set to the floral ring head, 63.26g (5) Condition Report: Brooch: stones bright and lively; four small garnets deficient. Soft solder mark at the base of the fittings and the back of the plate. Gilding wearing off at the edges. Necklace: clasp tarnished. Garnet beads show abrasion, commensurate with age. One eyelet deficient from the clasp.
