Publisher's original red cloth lettered in black ink. An account of the Texas Revolution as told by Captain Creed Taylor who sat down and told this to DeShields. Creed (1820-1906) fought in the Texas Revolution from Gonzales to San Jacinto. The book is in fair condition but pages are yellowed and fairly brittle. However, it is still in very readable condition. Book cover has some problems also (see photos). This is a book that is very collectible since there were so few first copies made. Binding is still tight and no loose pages.
