Description
A Chinese enameled porcelain plate. Late Qing era, before 1912. Wide canted rim surrounding the shallow well. Hand-painted Famille Rose design with a Dowager Spring design, a hwamie bird on a flowering wisteria branch raising amid blossoming roses against the turquoise blue background. Inscribed Dayazhai with dragon bordered seal in the center. Hallmark on the bottom. The term Dayazhai refers to the five seasonal services made for the personal use of the Dowager Empress Cixi, 1835 to 1908. Collectible Oriental Asian Porcelain Tableware And Decor, Fine China.
