Description
This is a 1990 collector "plate" designed and produced by Studio Dante di Volteradici in Tuscany, Italy, in association with the Museo del Duomo in Florence, Italy; released by the Bradford Exchange. Created by Ennio Furiesi based on the panel "Salomone e la regina di Saba" on the gilded bronze doors (dubbed by Michelangelo "The Gates of Paradise") designed and sculpted by Renaissance artist Lorenzo Ghiberti between 1425 and 1452 for the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Florence.
