Meanwhile Spencer Smythe who is once more trying to get revenge against the wall-crawler with his Spider-Slayer mk IV robot but... what's this? The Vulture turns up outside challenging Spidey to a duel. What's going on? He beats the Vulture and then Spider-Man is attacked by both the Sandman and the Kingpin. Nothing makes sense until the Spider-Slayer robot turns up. Smythe says that Vulture, Sandman and Kingpin are all robot duplicates of his foes. Battling the Spider-Slayer is nothing compared to Peter's internal concerns and his worries for the test results. The end is surprising... and with far reaching consequences!
