SN. 255400. .375H&H Mag. Made in 1953 this scarce big bore Model 70 made with 25” round brl that has 2 flip up rear sights and hooded ramp front sight. Left side of brl with usual maker’s stamp and proud “WP” stamp at breech end. Walnut stock is checkered in point pattern at grip areas, has factory sling swivels, and flat knob grip. Unengraved blued receiver, floor plate, and trigger guard. Matching numbered bolt. Butt with small Monte Carlo and original maker’s branded red pad. WEIGHT: 8lbs. 13oz. LOP: 13-1/2".

Excellent as lightly field used. Brl with about 95% of its original blue. Frame shows some very light beginning oxidation mixing in but still more than 90% original finish remaining. Floorplate and trigger guard with more than 90% original blue. Stock is excellent with about 95% of its original finish remaining and strong checkering. Pad is beginning to harden and mushroom. Bore is bright and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. A nice righteous big bore Model 70 which appears kosher from stem to stern. C&R.
