Description

An exceptional example of a ca. 1810 English Regency work stand, with a square mahogany top with rosewood and mahogany cross banding plus a tiger maple veneered edge. The back edge of the top pulls up revealing a fabric fire screen shading the user from the heat of the fireplace, the proper left side with a felt lined pull out writing surface, the front contains a dovetailed drawer fitted with an ink slide compartment drawer front inlaid with plum pudding mahogany and other woods, a delicate round tapering leg ending with a brass cup foot, 28.5”H x 20.5”W x 18.5”D.

Condition

Very good, nicely restored and ready for the home.
