New England Queen Anne Bonnet Top Cherry Chest on Chest
attributed to Massachusetts, circa 1760, white pine secondary, two part form, the broken arched pediment with applied cove molding and terminating in relief carved rosettes, central shaped plinth with carved flame finials, removable frieze board revealing open storage compartment, upper central relief carved shell drawer flanked by two small lipped drawers above four graduated lipped long drawers, flanked by chamfered fluted quarter columns with lambs tongue, each stile with three distinct crescent marks above and below each lambs tongue, the base with applied waist molding above three graduated lipped long drawers, repeating chamfered and fluted quarter columns, applied base with gadrooned molding at skirt, shaped half-blind dovetailed bracket feet.

Finials are hand carved but may be later; later pulls (in original holes); the base's upper drawer with lip loss and repair, the second drawer with large loss and repair at lower right corner; bonnet and frieze board are original; skirt and feet are original.
