Biography from Auctionata The beauty of Charles Towne the Younger's painting lies in his finely painted landscapes and friendly depiction of people. Charles Towne der JÃ¼ngere (1781-1854) Charles Towne the Younger was a British landscape painter. He was often confused with the painter of the same name, Charles Towne (1763-1840) and thus it happened that their biographies often have been merged. Today, quite a lot is known about Charles Towne (1763-1840) who painted in the style of George Stubbs, but little or nothing is known about Charles Towne the Younger. 8 1/8"H x 10"W, 12 7/8"H x 14 3/4"W (frame)
