Collection of L. Delmar and Susan Burrows Swan, Wilmington, Delaware.
Susan B. Swan was a needlework scholar and author. She served for many years as a curator at Winterthur Museum.
This Still Life with Bird and Fruit in a Landscape was found glued to the surface of the previous lot 121, Portrait of a Young Boy. The two were separated, conserved and restored at Winterthur Museum in 1968. It was cleaned, relined, retouched and received new stretcher. A treatment report accompanies lot.
