Description
1973-S Uncirculated Eisenhower "Blue Ike" in Original Treasury Packaging. These uncirculated Eisenhower Silver Dollars were struck in San Francisco. When the series was introduced, the United States Mint stated that they intended to produce 150 million os these 40% silver Eisenhower coins. This ended up being a vast overestimation. Less than 7 million were sold in 1971, and the sales totals dropped even lower in 1972, 1973, and 1974.Each coin was included within an individual cellophane pack with a blue plastic token. This was then placed in a blue outer envelope with the Depart of the Treasury Seal and white script indicating the contents.
