Commemorative construction set, made in 1991, featuring a replica of "Dornier DO-X" Giant Seaplane. Plane was constructed by the original owner over a 7 year period (1999-2005). Approx. 48" wingspan, 41" length. Over 4700 individualparts. Very scarce production, limited to only 10. Comes with the original wooden crate that housed all the pieces, and inside the crate are the remaining pieces to build the tower stand. We have not collated the remaining parts, however webelieve this is complete. Also includes instruction booklet with notations from the original owner whcih states the dates he completed different sections, as well at the beginning date in 1999, and completed date in 2005. Crate isapprox. 16" x 15-1/2" x 7". NOTE: This item would need to be picked up by the winning bidder, or would need to be shipped by a 3rd party shipper as well at being professionally crated.
