PAIR OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA CLASSICAL TIGER MAPLE SIDE CHAIRS, each featuring a distinctive turned crest rail and carved splat, caned seat, raised on slightly splayed and turned legs joined by box stretcher, inscribed "PHILADELPHIA" in period black paint to underside of seat. Retains old surface with warm color. Circa 1825. 33" HOA, 16 3/4" H seat, 16 1/2" D seat.
