Description
ENGLISH WHITE SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE TRIPODAL COVERED SOUP TUREEN WITH STAND, each of ovoid form, featuring press-molded dot, diaper, and basketweave decoration, comprising a tureen having three molded paw feet with grinning lion's head terminates above and a 14" x 11 1/4" stand. Unmarked. Possibly William Bourne, Burslem, Staffordshire, England. Mid 18th century. 7 3/4" HOA, tureen 9 5/8" x 7 1/4" rim.
