Description
Night of the Demons (1988) - This is a human skull that was one of the many purchased by the film's production designer. The skull seen on screen was then painted white and had horns and a beard added to it to give it a more demonic appearance. The skull was used in the film's opening scene, where it is found in the ruins of an old church. The skull is then used by the film's villain, Julian Karswell, to cast a spell on the protagonist, John Holden. The skull is a significant prop in the film, as it represents the evil that Karswell is trying to unleash. The skull is also a reminder of the film's historical setting, as it is a real human skull that was used in a ritualistic setting. This was found in Nick Frewin's collection. Nick worked with Kubrick on most of his films in the prop department and as a designer for Kubrick for over twenty-five years. Nick Frewin is not credited in the film ?Night of the Demons.? He was the original voice of the demon in the film, but his voice was replaced by another actor in the final cut of the film (8"x5"). This prop comes directly from the estate of Nick Frewin. Comes with a letter of provenance.
