Description
English style embroidered open front robe, double meandering floral & foliage pattern w/ interspersed rose bouquets on diapered pink ground, squared neckline & short sleeves, B 30”, W 20”-22”, L 56”64”, selvedge to selvedge fabric Wd 19”, (petticoat N/I, minor alteration to bodice at a later date, gathered silk moire' ribbon added at neckline at later date, heavy wear/discoloration at underarms, stains up to 5” in skirt, hem very worn & discolored w/ holes up to 0.5”, minor fading, some damage to moire' trim at neckline & hem, few pulls) good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
