Nakashima, George (American, 1905-1990), Set of 4 New Chairs, walnut and hickory, 36 x 18.5 x 20.5 inches, seat height 17.25 inches, each one signed Everett on the underside, also on the undersides one is marked 94/2908, two marked 95/2908 and one marked 96/2908. Provenance: purchased by the current consignor from Moderne Gallery, Philadelphia.

Condition

In good vintage condition, recently reoiled, and with some small visible areas of repair where the spindles meet the seat, and on the undersides, but nothing major; legs and sides with a few scratches; gouging to the front left leg of two of the chairs.
