An antique French bronze lamp. A large impressively made figural work with a central sculpture depicting the Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, modeled in traditional costume from Classical antiquity and leaning against a column form stem surmounted by a globe form and surrounded by winged eagle mascots, and projecting a quartet of relief acorn decorations and six scrolling botanical candelabra arms, each capped with a bobeche candle cup. Central stem capped with a single socket light fixture and metal lamp harp. Presented on a rectangular base with four figural harpy or satyr head medallions over striking beast paw feet. No apparent signature. Does not include shade.

Dimensions: 45 X 15 X 16 in.

Condition: Fair overall condition having mild age related wear, with evidence of patina and bends to a few of the arms. Working condition. Estate fresh to the market.
