Description
An energetic serigraph on paper titled "Moonlight Dance" by Chinese artist Jiang Tie Feng. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of XXXI/XL on the bottom left. Published in 1986. Born in Zhejiang Province, China, Jiang discovered his love of art through painting and drawing during his early childhood. After winning admission to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Jiang earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964, just before the beginning of the Cultural Revolution. The artwork represents traditional eastern influence depicted in a bold modern cubist style. There is a sense of harmony in nature when viewing the artwork. The female figures represent fertility - Mother Earth, givers of life. Per the artist, "My paintings are not only pictures; they are also music and poetry that is bewitching, sweet dreams that are being dreamed." A unique composition for a modern or contemporary space. From a private collection. Dimensions: 48"h x 48"w x 1"w (framed). In very good condition.
