Description
A mid 19th century Boardman & Wells shelf clock. 30-hr wooden works time, strike and alarm movement with painted wooden dial and Roman numerals. Mahogany case with a carved crown above a three panel door with clear upper, mirrored center and reverse painted lower glass, flanked by flat Curly Maple pilasters with Ebonized detail, all supported by carved paw feet. Paper label 50% intact. Old finish with some wear, veneer damage along lower edge of both sides, large chip in one foot, crack in top glass, re-painted glass panel, replaced Brass finials, not running when cataloged, movement is very dirty. 42 3/4" high overall.
