Description
York County Pennsylvania documents from 1759 including a letter that appears to be a court document for record of wrongdoings. There are also nine other documents that appear to be summons and include one envelope noted "summons". Documents signed George Stevenson and references "George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith" to the Sheriff of York County, PA commanding that he take (name)late of your country Yeoman / if he be found in your bailwick and safely keep so that you may have his body before our justices at York at our County Court of Common Please there to be held (date)". All of the summons are two folded pages and some of the pages have been disconnected. Good condition for age. See photos.
