Description
A Chinese Sancai glazed tripod water coupe, dating from the Tang dynasty (618-906). The small coupe has three creature feet setting the body from the surface. The sancai glaze drips down the body and pools on the underside over the unglazed stoneware. flared rounded rim

Provenance: Purchased from Hartman Rare Art, New York, between 1970-1971

Condition: good condition with tiny chip under the rim , One tripod foot has a chip on the side.
