French school of the 19th century.
"View of a part of the port of Barcelona taken from the Barceloneta" and "View of the Lonja, the Palace of Cap Gen. de la Aduana y de la puerta del mar de Barcelona".

Size: 16 x 30 cm; 26 x 39 cm (frame each).
The engraving of the port shows in great detail the façade of the city and the port of Barcelona, seen from the beginning of the quay or the platform of the Port Vell. Much maritime activity can be seen, as well as the Muralla de Mar and the main buildings on the city's waterfront. It is one of the most famous and detailed views of the city in the early 19th century. It was made by Jean-Jérôme Baugéan, a draughtsman. The second of the engravings, which depicts the Lonja, the Palais du Cap Gen. de la Aduana and the Barcelona sea gate, was made by Jean Baptiste Reville, draughtsman.
