Description

1791/1792. This monumental sterling silver two light candelabra by the celebrated silversmith John Schofield, whose "candlesticks are the finest of the period" 74 troy ounces. Height 19" Provenance: Mr. William C. Robinson Jr was master of foxhounds at the Sewickley Hunt Club and also was owner of the horse farms: "Far Away Farm" Sewickley PA and "Lanes End" in Versailles Kentucky. His wife Mary Laughlin Robinson was also an accomplished equestrian.
