Item Details

Description

French Napoleon III parcel gilt bronze mounted ebonized Victorian era credenza, circa 1870, having amboyna burl inlay, classical Jasperware medallions, a center paneled door flanked by curved glass front doors, and rising on a plinth base, remnants of paper labels to the back but otherwise unmarked.

Provenance: Acquired New Orleans Auction Galleries, New Orleans, Louisiana, March 13, 1999, sale A992, lot 625.

Approximate dimensions: h. 39.25", w. 64.75", d. 17.75".

Condition

Stable crack to top, no apparent breaks to glass, key is present, case is structurally sound.
