James Edward Kelly (American 1855-1933), 'Defenders Of New Haven, July 5, 1779', 1905, patinated cast bronze, figural grouping depicting the Defender's Monument located in New Haven Connecticut, signed in mold and dated December 21, 1905, and additionally marked 'Cast For/George Hope Ryder MD/Yale 1894'. Note: The Defender's Monument the defense of New Haven against the British, it was erected in 1910.
