Oversized Michael A. Finnell (American), Victorian era wall thermometer, mid-19th century, having a Renaissance Revival walnut case with leaf decorated crest, printed marks, retaining Brunk Auctions tag.

Provenance: Acquired Brunk Auctions, Asheville, North Carolina, Antiquities, Asian, European and American, March 19, 2016, lot 785.

Approximate dimensions: h. 57", w. 13.25", d. 6".

Condition

Repair to crest, some stains and wear to printed surface, tube is apparently intact though mercury appears to have degraded, frame is structurally sound.
