Description
Canadian. Picton, Ontario. Salt-glazed stoneware. A three-gallon handled jug decorated with a stylized plume in dark cobalt blue. G.I. (George) Lazier was the third potter to operate the Picton pottery, initially established in 1849 by William Hart. Stamped, "3 / G.I.Lazier, / Picton C.W." 15" x 9.75". From the Leigh Moore and late Wendy Daxon Collection.
Condition
Overall, excellent condition. A flaw that occurred during firing is evident on the right side of the jug.
