Description

Art Nouveau Ceramic Mantel Clock signed Couturier. This clock features Napoleon Bonaparte standing in front of a brick wall backdrop housing the clock. The artist that designed the clock was Friedrich Goldscheider (Czechoslovakian, 1845-1897). This clock was believed to be made in Austria, ca 1890-1900. The measurements are H 31" x W 18" x D 7.25". The working order is not verified. Makers mark stamped on bottom side of piece: Goldscheider was a ceramics manufacturer & founder of the Goldscheider Manufactory and Majolica Factory in Vienna, 1885. Signed on the bottom left front "Couturier". The weight of the clock is 31.5 lbs. Please refer to all photos. Overall in good condition.
