A scarce Japanese Wadokie wall clock, Edo/ Meiji period, first half of the 19th century, with a large domed bell with foliot bar and verge escapement and revolving applied chapter ring with two apertures below to indicate daylight and nightfall timekeeping (?), the case with two latched side doors revealing a wrought iron movement, fitted with hemp ropes and limestone weight and counterweight. 11 cm wide x 11 cm deep x 27 cm overall height.
