Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 1st century BCE. An attractive ensemble of 5 pottery vessels from Hellenistic Greece: a large, beige spindle jar, 2 more petite, black spindle jars, a blackware aryballos, and a redware bottle. All present elegant yet minimalist forms that are quite appealing to the modern eye! Size of largest (beige spindle jar): 3" Diameter x 11.8" H (7.6 cm x 30 cm)

Provenance: private Tony P. collection, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, acquired prior to 2002

Condition
Professional repair and restoration to neck and spout of largest spindle jar and one blackware spindle jar. Redware bottle and blackware aryballos each have a small perforation to their side, and all besides the aryballos have chipping to their bases and/or rims. All have nice preservation of form with some light earthen deposits in areas.
