**Originally Listed At $400**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A repousse decorated 68% to 70% silver panel with a figure in the center, the short cropped hair and slender body suggest a young man - perhaps a deity- facing forward, one arm held up and the other to the side. Thin panels made of precious metals and bronze were applied to wooden boxes or caskets to serve as decoration. Size: 3.5" L x 2" W (8.9 cm x 5.1 cm); silver quality: 68% to 70%; weight: 17.8 grams
