American Federal Gilt Wood Trumeau Mirror, Reverse Painted Panel, Ca. 1820, H 48" W 21.5" | the mirror offers a flower and urn arrangement to the crest. the reverse painted glass panel offers chinoiserie style sunrise and tree composition. the mirror is flanked by single columns with beaded edges and acanthus leaf supports. Circa 1820. Provenance: Purchased from Susan & Richard Raymond of Brimfield Antiques, Brimfield, Massachusetts, November 9, 1983.
Condition
With spots of gilt flaking throughout the frame. Edge wear and losses to the gilding commensurate with age and use.
